According to the brand, despite the notorious differences, the new Opel Corsa GT maintains the spirit of 30 years ago.

Among other models, there was a small sports car in the 1980s that made young wolves on the tarmac sigh: the Opel Corsa GT. Small, agile and superbly designed, the Opel Corsa GT was the first very young sports car of the 1980s. 30 years later, the GT is back.

Times change, technologies change. Instead of the carburetor, there is a direct injection system and a turbocharger. In place of the four-speed transmission is a six-speed transmission. Rims grew from 13 to 17 inches. Top speed increased from 162 to 195 km/h (in 1.0 Turbo version). The average consumption dropped from 6.6 to just 4.9 liters/100 km. And instead of a drawer radio with cassette player, there is a complete digital connection system with the exterior and a series of advanced functions to support driving. Anyway, new times.

Like the original model, the new Corsa GT features a three-door bodywork. The 1.3 70hp engine that once animated the GT acronym in the Corsa range has given way to three new engines: a 1.0 Turbo with 115hp, a 1.4 Turbo with 150hp and a 1.3 CDTI turbodiesel unit with 95hp.

Associated with the acronym GT, there is also a sportier look: front and rear spoilers, side skirts and 17-inch wheels with an exclusive design. As tradition dictates, the GT logo is positioned at the base of the C-pillars.

In terms of interior, the sport seats with more lateral support, sports steering wheel with flat base and pedals in imitation aluminum stand out. As standard, we have a tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assistance, radio with Bluetooth hands-free system and USB input, the IntelliLink infotainment system, which allows the integration of 'smartphones', automatic air conditioning, computer. electrically-adjustable on-board and rear-view mirrors, in addition to rain and light sensors, electric windows and central door closing with remote control.

As for prices, the Opel Corsa GT available with 1.0 turbo engine costs 16 890 euros. The 1.4 turbo version with 150hp will be available for 20 090 euros and the diesel variant starts at 20 290 euros.
