This week is marked by the arrival of the new Hyundai i30 in the Portuguese market. A moment that is of great importance for the brand in Portugal, considering the volume of sales in this segment.

To attract the public's attention, arguments are not lacking. Starting with the intrinsic qualities of the i30 – which we will explore in an essay to be published this week – and ending with the competitive positioning that the brand has achieved against direct competition (Opel Astra, Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf, Seat Leon, among others), both in terms price and in terms of equipment.

Prices of the new Hyundai i30 in Portugal

In this launch phase, the Hyundai i30 1.0 TGDI (120 hp) in the Confort+Navi version, will be available for 22,967 euros (already with legalization and transport costs included). But thanks to the launch campaign – dubbed the Launch Edition – there is an equipment offer worth 2,600 euros, which effectively transforms the Confort+Navi version into a Style version (top of the range).

Thus, the Hyundai i30 now includes the following equipment as standard in this Launch Edition version: full Led headlamps, automatic air conditioning, complete package of electronic driving aids (emergency braking, roadway maintenance assistant, etc.), system premium sound, infotainment with an 8-inch screen and integration for smartphones (CarPlay and Android Auto), 17-inch wheels, tinted rear windows and differentiated front grille, among other equipment – complete equipment list here.

The 1.6 CRDI Diesel version of 110 hp with the same equipment (Launch Edition) costs 26 967 euros. If you want to opt for the more powerful variant of the 1.6 CRDI engine, with 136 hp, you'll have to shell out another 1000 euros. As an option, it is also possible to choose the competent 7DCT dual-clutch gearbox (only available in Diesel and 1.4 TGDI petrol versions).
