The New Hyundai Santa Fe is a premium SUV with which the Korean brand intends to maintain and reinforce a position it has conquered since the launch of the first generation, back in 2000. The new model is above all an aesthetic and technological update of the latest generation, launched in 2013 and therefore competes exclusively for the class – Crossover of the Year, where he will have to face the following competitors: Audi Q7, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, KIA Sorento and Volvo XC90.

From a design standpoint, the new Santa Fe adopts the brand's latest design features, expressed in the signature hexagonal grille and redesigned body profile. The subtle changes extend to the cabin, which receives new design elements, namely in the center console and introduces materials of higher noticeable quality.

Accessibility to the seven seats is now facilitated, with the possibility of adjustment and longitudinal sliding of the second row of seats.

One of the central concerns in the development of its new SUV was to increase the level of comfort and safety. For this, Hyundai introduced a new series of equipment and systems, matching the Santa Fe with the modern trends in technological content in this class.

In the range of new systems, the highlights are: Autonomous Braking System, Active Cruise Control, 360-degree parking cameras, Intelligent Parking Assistance System, Object detection system in the blind spot and Automatic Ignition Maximums.

To enhance the onboard travel experience of this model, Hyundai also introduces a new navigation system, as well as a new digital radio with connectivity functions, connected to a Premium Surround Audio system with 12 speakers spread across the cabin.

In terms of engines, the new Santa Fe receives a renewed 2.2 CRDI engine combined with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission (optional). This engine saw its power increased to 200 hp and torque to 440 Nm, which guarantees better performance, without sacrificing the consumption that Hyundai calculates to be 5.7 l/100 km on a mixed circuit.
