The chosen driving platform is not new and is already well known among us. Long life to the EJ25 block, the 4-cylinder boxer with 2.5L capacity, 305 horsepower at 6000rpm and 393Nm of maximum torque at 4000rpm, as it will continue with us once again in this generation of the WRX STI.

When it comes to dynamics, we continue to have the brilliant all-wheel drive system “Symmetrical AWD” and the Si-Drive system, to manage the entire rally DNA of the Subaru WRX STI, through the manipulation of the center differential, the “DCCD”.

According to Subaru, in the WRX STI, special care was taken to increase the structural rigidity and optimization of the suspension geometry, all so that the steering feedback is more precise and faster. As for the aesthetic exterior details, the Subaru WRX STI has its own personality, in other words, at the rear we have a bumper with an integrated lower diffuser and double exhaust pipes to underline its sporty presence. The new GT-style wing, over the trunk lid, is also bigger than the previous model and has a more sculpted shape so that aerodynamic support is more efficient.

In addition to the mythical color, the WR Blue Mica that reminds us so much of the rally Imprezas, we have 2 new colors available for the Subaru WRX STI: the WR Blue Pearl and the Crystal White Pearl.

For the rims, Subaru opted for 18-inch ones, fitted with tires measuring 245/40. On the WRX, we already realized that the model had grown and on the Subaru WRX STI, the same thing happens. This model with a sportier vein, is 4.59m long, 1.79m wide and 1.47m high.

Another stage where more innovations occurred was the specific interior for the Impreza WRX STI, with the traditional quadrant with a red background, in addition to the leather seats and Alcantara with the seams also in red. nInside, the changes extend to the edges of the air conditioning buttons, through the gear selector cover and the STI logo on the center console, all with trim in appliqués imitating carbon fiber.

The steering wheel, also specific to this version, is all in leather and with the insertion of the STI logo at the bottom, the final touch goes to the pedals and rest in perforated aluminum.

The official performance has not yet been released for the Subaru WRX STI, but big differences in values ​​are not expected compared to the previous generation, however, this Subaru WRX STI is much more capable in curves and therefore the G-force generated in curves will be superior on this new Subaru WRX STI.
