812 Compete. That's how Ferrari's most powerful V12 accelerates

Anonim

The Ferrari 812's “swan song” is made with the limited (and already sold out) Competizione, which comes equipped with the 812 Superfast's 6.5 l naturally aspirated V12, but with a few more “dust”.

Power rises from 800 hp to 830 hp, an increase achieved in part by increasing the rev ceiling from 8900 rpm to 9500 rpm (maximum power is reached at 9250 rpm), making this V12 the Ferrari (road) engine that fastest ever turned.

It also received new titanium connecting rods; the camshafts and piston pins received a new DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating; the crankshaft was rebalanced being 3% lighter; and the intake system is more compact and has variable geometry ducts to optimize the torque curve at all speeds.

First impressions behind the wheel of this very special machine are already out there and the star is, of course, its naturally aspirated V12.

The Motorsport Magazine channel left us a short video of the new 812 Competizione that you can see in the spotlight, where the camera points to the speedometer and we can see the ferocity with which it gains speed, always accompanied by an “infernal” soundtrack.
