Hollywood and fans of the Furious Speed saga are in mourning. Actor Paul Walker, who became world famous when he played Brian O'Conner in the film Furious Speed, died earlier this evening after a tragic car accident in Santa Clarita, California (USA). Several reports indicate that 40-year-old Paul Walker was in the passenger seat aboard a Porsche Carrera GT, which collided with a pole and later caught fire. Paul Walker and the driver, Roger Rodas, director of Paul Walker's supercar garage and former driver, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The causes of the accident are not exact, but they could involve speeding.
Walker's friend Antonio Holmes revealed that several witnesses tried to put out the flames with fire extinguishers, without success. Speaking to the local television channel, Holmes reported part of the accident assistance: “We have all heard of our location (the accident). It was a little difficult to know what it was. But someone said it was a vehicle fire. We all immediately ran to our cars with fire extinguishers. But when we got there they were engulfed in flames. There was nothing to be done. They were trapped. Employees, friends, locals we all tried…”.
40-year-old Paul Walker was doing a charity event tonight for his association, Reach Out Worldwide, and it will have been on one of his tours of the city in his company, to raise funds that the tragic accident happened. To family and friends, the Razão Automóvel team extends its condolences.
