There isn't much information about the new one yet. Aston Martin DBS , the model that will replace the Vanquish, the brand's flagship model. But it confirms the return of the iconic acronym of the Gaydon manufacturer, which has been part of Aston Martin's history for 50 years — the first DBS appeared in 1967, having been recovered in 2007, with the launch of the top-of-the-range version of the DB9.
This time, however, the name DBS appears associated with an equally weighty designation: super leggera . Designation that, over the last decades, the brand has used in special versions of models such as DB4, DB5, DB6 and DBS. It has always been synonymous with an ultra-light body, produced by the Italian Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.
As for the new model, whose presentation is already scheduled for next June, everything points to it being a version marked by an ultra-light construction and focused on performance. When announcing such predicates, the name Superleggera will appear, placed on the front fenders — just as happened in the past.

What to expect from the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera?
The British brand has high ambitions for its new model, moving away from the world of large luxury GTs such as the Bentley Continental GT and approaching the world of more performance-focused GTs like the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
The 5.2 liter twin turbo V12 debuted by the DB11 will be the engine of choice, but it will have much juicier numbers. Rumors point to an increase of 100 hp compared to the DB11, reaching 700 hp.
