Volkswagen T-Roc gains horses, courtesy of ABT

Anonim

The transformation begins with the four-cylinder 2.0 liter gasoline engine with which the Volkswagen T-Roc is also proposed, and which, after intervention by the ABT, starts to deliver 228 hp of power and 360 Nm of torque . That is, 38 hp and 40 Nm more than in the official version.

Values far from modest, and that will certainly help in the benefits, although ABT has not announced what the gains compared to the T-Roc 2.0 TSI series. The production version is associated with the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and the 4Motion all-wheel drive system. It has an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds, and an advertised top speed of 216 km/h.

Revised suspensions, but without aerodynamic kit

Alongside these components, there are also changes in the suspensions, which reduce the ground height of this Volkswagen by 40 mm, guaranteeing, at the same time, a “much more dynamic” behavior, according to ABT itself.

Finally, and contrary to what often happens, the German preparer preferred, in the case of the T-Roc, to keep things simple, dispensing with the inclusion of any aerodynamic kit. Limiting itself to offering a wide choice in terms of wheels, with sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches, and with different types of finishes.
