Following the dismissal of Winterkorn, former CEO of VW, the first speculations about his pension begin to emerge. The value could exceed 30 million euros.

The accounts are from the Bloomberg agency. Martin Winterkorn may receive pension accrued since 2007, the year in which he took over as CEO of VW, around 28.6 million euros. An already high value, but one that still wants to grow.

According to the same agency, that amount can be added to a millionaire indemnity equivalent to “two years' wages”. We remind you that in 2014 alone, the former CEO of VW received an estimated remuneration of 16.6 million euros. In order for Martin Winterkorn to receive these amounts, he cannot be held responsible for the Dieselgate scandal. If the supervisory board decides to blame the former VW CEO for misconduct, the indemnity is automatically void.

Martin Winterkorn: the man in the eye of the hurricane

The former CEO of VW, almost 7 decades old, announced his resignation yesterday that he was surprised to learn of the criminal conduct of his company, thus removing the blame from his office.

It should be noted that the businessman was the second highest paid CEO in Germany last year, receiving a total of 16.6 million euros, not only from the company's savings, but also from the pockets of Porsche shareholders.
