Anonim

Fiat Panda. Launched for the first time in 1980, this friendly city man is today a model that blends in with the history of the Italian brand.

Over its three generations, Fiat Panda has managed to reinvent itself without losing its essence. Practical, cheerful, simple and even fun to drive.

Arguments that in this slight update to 2020 have been reinforced. The highlight goes to the new Firefly engine associated with a mild-hybrid system, but the news doesn't stop there.

Fiat Panda City Cross Mild Hybrid

New engine, mild-hybrid and D-Fence system

In this video, we've tested the Panda City Cross Hybrid, which translates into a 1.0 atmospheric three-cylinder and 70 hp, which appears here partially electrified by coming with a 12 V mild-hybrid system. Its operation is discreet, if not the presence of a battery indicator, we hardly noticed the presence of this auxiliary electrical system.

Even less noticeable is the presence of the also new D-Fence system , which arises as a consequence of the pandemic that still affects the planet. This system is made up of two filters and an ultraviolet light which, according to Fiat, makes this Panda City Cross Hybrid a paradise for all those suffering from allergies, in addition to contributing strongly to the cleaning of the interior.

This D-Fence system is capable of containing up to 100% of allergens and reducing the formation of mold and bacteria inside it by up to 99%. I explain everything to you in this video:

Is this the cleanest city in the world? At least inside, it won't be an exaggeration to say yes. For the rest, it is the Fiat Panda that we already know. With a friendly appearance, he remains a very competent city dweller in this environment. On the road, the limitations of the engine make it feel like we are always pushing it a little more.
