Porsche Panamera sold out in Portugal

On the sidelines of the official presentation today at the Paris Motor Show, Porsche wanted to present the new Porsche Panamera on national soil in an exclusive event. We've been there.

“It's a problem, but it's a 'good' problem”, this is how Nuno Costa, responsible for Porsche in Portugal, refers to the difficulties he has encountered in satisfying the first orders for the new Porsche Panamera on national soil. “We have already used up the quota for Portugal, and at the moment we are increasing the production of the Panamera at the factory in Leipzig (Germany) to satisfy all the requests that have come to us”.

According to Nuno Costa, the difficulties in satisfying orders for the new German sedan are not unique to Brazil: “in practically all markets we have the same problem”. “We hope that with this increase in production, we will be able to respond to the expectations of our customers”, “not least because our ambition is that the new generation of the Porsche Panamera is the leader in its segment”, he concluded.

In Portugal

After we watched the Panamera world reveal – where we had the opportunity to know all your details – It was in a more intimate atmosphere, provided by the Torreão Nascente of Terreiro do Paço, that we had the opportunity to admire the lines of the new Panamera for the first time in Portuguese lands.

The greater aesthetic proximity between this new generation Panamera and the unavoidable Porsche 911 (991.2 generation) is evident, with much more harmonious shapes and proportions – without a doubt, one of the most criticized aspects of the first generation of this model, launched in 2009. From a technological point of view, Porsche used the best technology available to the Panamera. A state-of-the-art infotainment system, a high-fidelity sound system (three as an option) and a myriad of driving support systems – in line with the best in the segment.

In dynamic terms, Porsche speaks of a reference behavior closer to a sports car than to a saloon of this size – of course, without neglecting comfort. Assumptions that we will have the opportunity to confirm shortly in a first dynamic contact with the model.

Prices for the national market

Porsche Panamera prices in Portugal start at 115,347 euros for the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid, while for the Porsche Panamera 4S prices start at 134,644 euros. The most powerful petrol version, the Porsche Panamera Turbo, arrives with a list price of 188,001 euros. In the Diesel offer we find the Porsche Panamera 4S Diesel, available since 154,312.
