It's official: the second-generation Porsche Panamera will not only have a long version, but also an estate variant.

It's no secret that the Stuttgart brand has long been working on a family variant, but official confirmation has now come through Gernot Dollner, product director for the Porsche Panamera. For now, a larger version (long-wheelbase) and a van variant (shooting brake) are confirmed.

The new Porsche Panamera – which integrates the MSB platform for all-wheel and rear-wheel-drive models of the Volkswagen Group (Modularer Standardantriebsbaukasten) – should redeem the “Sport Turismo” name, used in the concept that was presented at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. , a completely new rear section and more space in the interior are expected.

The new models must be equipped with the same range of engines as the standard version – V8 4.0 bi-turbo gasoline engines with 550 hp and 770 Nm and V6 2.9 bi-turbo with 440 hp and 550 Nm and a V8 diesel block with 422 hp and 850 Nm. The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo will be presented next year at the Paris Motor Show, which takes place between October 1 and 16, and production will start this year.
