With a month before the start of the Tokyo Salon, the news rises in tone. Nissan is preparing two concepts, one of them is positioned as an opponent to the Toyota GT-86.

The Tokyo Hall is a month away from starting but the silent war is already in place among the Japanese. What was an isolated model among the Japanese, the Toyota GT-86, will soon receive a company. Nissan announced this week that it will present two sports concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show, which will take place between the 22nd of November and the 1st of December. One of these concepts should be positioned next to the Toyota GT-86 and Nissan guarantees that it will not be a “Z” series model, the other concept is described only as being “mad”.

The last sports concept that Nissan presented was shown at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show (pictured: Nissan Esflow) and was based on the premise of “Zero-Emissions”. This concept, announced as an opponent of the Toyota GT-86, should come equipped with a 1.6 Turbo engine with 197 hp, the same that equips the Nissan Juke Nismo. It will be presented in order to make the product reach consumers and gather the necessary feedback for an eventual entry into production.

The news has just over 24 hours, but everywhere you can read reactions and some of them criticize the bet on an engine that they say is "short" and in line with the low power also presented in the Toyota GT-86. The difference, at first glance, is in the ability of the two engines to “stretch” beyond their initial power.

All over the place, this lack of elasticity and desire for preparation has been criticized, in which the Toyota GT-86 has shown very positive results. And you? What do you expect from Nissan? Do we have a very interesting war ahead, or is Nissan preparing a more efficient model and victim of the inevitable downsizing of the engines? Leave your opinion here and on our social networks.
