The third generation Citroën C3 integrates key elements of the French brand's new design line.

Strong personality and modern style. That's how the new Citroën C3 is defined, presented today by the French brand. The Citroën bestseller – which represents about one in five of the brand's units sold in Europe – adopts a colourful, irreverent and avant-garde appearance, following in the footsteps of the latest models, in particular the C4 Cactus.

In fact, design is undoubtedly the strong point of this new generation, which is inspired by Citroën's current design philosophy. On the outside, the Citroën C3 stands out with a horizontal LED luminous signature on the underside of the bonnet and a new panoramic glass roof (in white, black or red). But the biggest highlight are the plastic side protectors on the doors – better known as Airbumps – and the rear and front bumpers, which contribute to a more muscular and adventurous appearance.

"His strong personality and comfort will be able to seduce new customers, in search of character and modernity, rejuvenating the brand image."

Inside, the French brand has opted for a simple and minimalist layout of all cabin components – the new Citroën C3 was designed without making any compromises in terms of comfort, another of the brand's assets. In addition to improved structural rigidity, the new utility vehicle offers many customization possibilities (36 color combinations) and various assistance and safety technologies, such as the navigation system, reversing camera and blind spot surveillance system.

In terms of engines, the Citroën C3 will be offered with a 1.2 PureTech 3-cylinder gasoline engine with 68, 82 or 110 hp of power, while the Diesel offer will include a 1.6 BlueHDi engine with 75 or 100 hp. Both engines are available with manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission. The Citroën C3 will be present at the Paris Motor Show, which runs from the 1st to the 16th of October, before launching for the national market, which should take place later this year.
