The predictions that indicate that in 2014 the Audi S1 will be launched are almost certain, fueled by the confirmation of the facelift of the Audi A1 already for that year.
After the confirmation of a facelift on the Audi A1 already in 2014, rumors are growing that the Ingolstadt brand will introduce the S1 version in the list of existing ones of its premium supermini. It is almost certain that the next year will be marked by the appearance of the Audi S1. Here at Razão Automóvel, we had already reported its sighting in tests, camouflaged as a “simple Audi A1” and denounced by the four rear exhausts. As for the Audi RS1, everything indicates that it may never see the light of day. The model involves a production investment that may not find a return on the market, as a result of the economic crisis affecting the Audi A1's target market. There is still no information on the technical details of the Audi S1, but the predictions for a quattro all-wheel drive and a 220 hp 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine remain.
The demand for design and innovation, both constantly innovating, leaves us all not knowing what to think about product x or y. Today everything is fast and «hyper-mega» effective.
