WRC: Armindo Araújo is now official MINI driver 22050_1

Last week, MINI signed up Armindo Araújo and Paulo Nobre, to race for the WRC Team MINI Portugal in WRC 2012, in the M1, which guarantees the continuation of the MINI JCW WRC in the WRC. Armindo Araújo only confirmed his presence in all WRC events this year, as official MINI driver:

According to a statement from BMW, the partnership with Prodrive has undergone some changes. Prodrive is now responsible for building and supporting the privately owned MINI John Cooper Works WRC, working with the BMW group on the car's development. In other words, Prodrive is now a private team and the Spanish driver, Dani Sordo, has to follow the same path, changing places with the Portuguese driver, Armindo Araújo.

As you can see in the video, Armindo Araújo and Miguel Ramalho are already in Sweden preparing for the second event of WRC 2012, and this time with the new colors of the WRC TEAM MINI PORTUGAL team. 2012 seems to start off on a high for the Santo Tirso pilot. Good luck!
