Peugeot presents i-Cockpit for the new generation of vehicles

The 2nd generation of the i-Cockpit – more modern and intuitive – should appear for the first time in the new Peugeot 3008 later this year.

Debuted in 2012 in the Peugeot 208, the i-Cockpit integrates a modern and futuristic philosophy that enables a more intuitive, safe and natural driving experience. In this second generation, the French brand will bet on a larger touchscreen that grows from 9.7 to 12.3 inches, and a redesigned steering wheel, which despite keeping the reduced dimensions is now slightly lower, in order to improve visibility.

The i-Cockpit, which will be offered in almost the entire Peugeot range, concentrates most of the functions on the touchscreen, reducing as much as possible the number of “physical” buttons. As it could not be otherwise, the French brand has not given up on the 3D navigation system with real-time information and connectivity systems Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and MirrorLink.

The second generation of the i-Cockpit will debut in the new Peugeot 3008. More news will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, which will take place next October.
