The experienced duo Miguel Barbosa and Miguel Ramalho will compete in the 2016 National Rally Championship at the wheel of the new Skoda Fabia R5.
Sponsored by Skoda, Miguel Barbosa will participate in the 2016 National Rally Championship, which starts on March 4th, in Fafe. At his side will be Miguel Ramalho, the Lisbon driver's companion since 2002. “I'm very satisfied with this new bet on rallies. I really liked the car. The first practices were an intense work of learning that will continue throughout the season”, said the pilot.The new Skoda Fabia R5 is the result of 15 months of intensive work by Skoda Motorsport. Equipped with a 1.6-litre turbo engine that delivers 279 hp and 420 Nm and a sequential five-speed gearbox, the Fabia R5 made its official debut in the 2015 Rally de Portugal (WRC category 2), and has since achieved eleven podiums, four wins and the team title for Skoda Motorsport.
