New Mercedes E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet unveiled

A little over two weeks ago we introduced the Limousine and Station versions of the new and highly acclaimed E-Class Mercedes. Today, it's time to toast the arrival of the Coupé and Cabriolet variants of this king of Stuttgart.

The most obvious novelty centers on the disappearance of the characteristic “four eyes” that previous generations had, ie double headlamps. Seventeen years later, Mercedes chose to insert an integrated unit into the E-Class, but even so, the change was thought out in detail, with German designers trying to create that same stylistic separation.

Aesthetically, and in addition to the headlights, the bumpers now have a greater prominence with their sharper lines and appealing to the human eye. In fact, in the images we see of the Coupé version, we can see some respectable front air intakes, a true anthem to car design.

For the interior, a new instrument panel is stored, with three large dials housed in a high-gloss console and flat trapezoidal shape. But the highlight goes to the improvement of materials and the new dashboard design. It's a case of saying… it's a real treat.

Under the hood, we can expect six petrol options, with powers ranging from 184 hp to the bombastic 408 hp. The offer for Diesel engines is more limited, initially there will only be three different engines, where the power ranges from 170 hp to 265 hp. It should also be noted that the new E-Class Coupé and Cabriolet were presented with new four-cylinder Bluedirect engines, equipped with a start/stop system and direct injection technology.

Both the E-Class Coupé and the Cabriolet will be available on the national market from next spring. Regarding prices… nothing is known yet! But while the new Mercedes E-Class doesn't arrive, enjoy this set of images we have for you:
