Maserati prepares for the presentation of a concept at the Geneva Motor Show, the Maserati GT Concept. Apparently, it will be the starting point for a possible successor to the Maserati GranTurismo (pictured) and GranCabrio.

In the year that celebrates the 100th anniversary of Maserati, the Italian manufacturer is getting ready to present a GT style concept, hence the name Maserati GT Concept, at the Geneva Motor Show. According to some statements, the Italian manufacturer has been working for some time on a possible rival for some of the current reference sports, such as the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar F-Type. Maserati's next sports car should be called GranSport.

In terms of engine, the Maserati GT Concept will in principle have two new engines: V6 3.0 with 410 hp or the V8 3.8 with 530 hp, engine that is found in the new Maserati Quattroporte GTS and in the recently presented Ferrari California T.

We'll reveal more details in the coming weeks. In the meantime, follow the Geneva Motor Show with Ledger Automobile.
