This is how BMW celebrates its centenary

The two brands in the BMW universe joined in the brand's centenary celebration and created two very distinct commemorative models.

100 years ago, BMW was born – know the history of the brand logo here. In order to mark this important date, the brand has launched a new prototype: the BMW Vision Next 100. Adrian van Hooydonk, head of design for the BMW group, has promised to launch a series of prototypes that aim to “excite people” about the future of brand. As promised, here we have the Mini Vision Next 100 and the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 (or 103EX, as it's also known), which we'll talk about in the next few lines.

Mini Vision Next 100

The Mini Vision Next 100 continues the Mini's positioning, more aimed at the young audience, where the bet will be on ride-sharing services, through a partnership with companies already operating in the market or even through the creation of an independent company . This electric and autonomous city dweller will have the ability to recognize users, changing aspects such as the colors of the instrument panel or the lighting of different panels depending on the personal tastes of each one.

Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 (103EX)

The Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 (also dubbed the 103EX) is the brand's futuristic and luxurious vision for years to come. The 103EX will be built on a new lightweight platform using an electric propulsion system. The brand also concludes that each model will be built individually with the help of a 3D printer, which allows customers to choose and customize all the details of the car.

Instead of a steering wheel, the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 has the ‘Eleanor’, which works both as a virtual assistant and chauffeur. Eleanor not only takes us to the destination – selected through a large touchscreen, but also reminds us of appointments and tasks we have scheduled for a certain day. All with maximum comfort.
