For the lands of the oil lords “simple” Mercedes G63 AMG are not enough. A super-exclusive version with 6 motorized wheels has to be built.
It's rare to find a Mercedes G63 AMG in Europe, let alone a G65 AMG, let's say there are many supercars out there, but this one won't be the most suitable for traveling on the hustle and bustle of western roads. If a Mercedes G63 AMG is rare, what about two 6×6 Mercedes G63 AMGs?
Yes, they are real. Autobild has published photos of these 3-axis Arabian monsters just unloaded at Dubai airport. These mighty dune eaters are ready to tackle the deep desert…or scare the people in the city. Imagine if one of the owners of these colossi had the brilliant idea of sending them to London during the holidays? Londoners will think they are being invaded by the Germans. This is the "civilian" version of the Mercedes G, which integrates in its military version the list of vehicles of the Australian army and which is already confirmed as an active future of the Swedish army.
The photos available are of two different vehicles, apparently at the Dubai airport. The blank model apparently has the grille of the G65 AMG, which leads us to believe that it could be the result of a special order or for testing. It also has one of the rear tires on the left side punctured, it may have already been on more difficult surfaces or it could be simple bad luck… although puncturing a tire like this is not very easy. The fact that one of them has a German license plate could also mean that Mercedes will be doing tests in Saudi Arabia or preparing some special presentation, after all, potential customers are not lacking in this part of the world.
