Volkswagen T-Cross: is this the VW compact SUV?

RM Car Design's new designs anticipate what will be the production version of Volkswagen's next compact SUV.

The Wolfsburg brand has long been dating a compact SUV, and the new T-Cross Breeze, unveiled at the last Geneva Motor Show, is proof of that. Therefore, designer Remco Meulendijk decided to show his own interpretation of what could be the brand's new compact SUV.

As you can see from the images, in this very realistic version, the Dutch designer opted for more conventional lines inspired by the Polo and Tiguan, giving up the new design lines of the T-Cross Breeze, with an emphasis on the LED headlights at the front.

As was already known, the new model will use a shorter variant of the MQB platform – the same one that will be used in the production of the next Polo – positioning itself below the Tiguan. The production version of the T-Cross Breeze will be able to adopt the all-wheel drive system and also a hybrid engine, in addition to diesel and gasoline options. The name of the new model has not yet been confirmed.
