Originally released 37 years ago, the Opel Corsa has been a true success story for Opel, having sold a total of 14 million units since 1982 (600,000 in Portugal alone) and establishing itself as one of the brand's best sellers (alongside its “older brother” , the Astra).
With the arrival of the sixth generation of the German SUV, expectations are not only focused on discovering how far it will be able to continue the success of its predecessors, but also on figuring out whether the first Corsa developed under PSA's umbrella is sufficiently different from its cousin. , the Peugeot 208.

The differences
Abroad, as Guilherme tells us, although it is possible to find commonalities with the 208 (mainly in terms of proportions, due to both resorting to the CMP platform) the truth is that the Corsa maintained its identity, counting on a look more sober than the French model.

Inside, the sobriety remains and, as Guilherme highlights in the video, the controls are still Opel (from the turn signals to the ventilation controls), helping to differentiate the two models. There we still find the typical Opel easter eggs and the quality, according to Guilherme, is in good order.
Is the 100hp 1.2 Turbo the right choice?
As for the engine, the unit that appears in this video used the 1.2 Turbo with 100 hp and, according to Guilherme, this is probably the best choice. Slightly more expensive than the 1.2 l with 75 hp (in the case of the Elegance version around 1900 euros), this one proves to be more versatile.
As for consumption, in a mixed driving, Guilherme managed to reach an average of 6.1 l/100 km.
Finally, a note on the equipment level of the Elegance version that stars in this video, which turned out to be quite complete. The price, with the 1.2 Turbo engine of 100 hp, is about 18 800 euros).
