We have already defended here that there is no love like the first. SEAT corroborates our thinking and decided to surprise His Royal Highness, King Filipe VI of Spain, with the restoration of his first car: a SEAT Ibiza 1.5 petrol. A car that was given to him by his father, King Juan Carlos, when he was 18 years old.
Because a special Ibiza deserves special care, specialists from the Spanish brand have restored the «wire to wick» model. A restoration where nothing has been left to chance. After this extensive restoration project (in the attached images) no one would say that that golden Seat Ibiza has covered more than 150,000 km.
The hardest part, according to the SEAT team, was restoring the original Porsche injection system, which after several years of inactivity made the mission difficult for the technical team.

Isidre López, director of the classics department at SEAT, has already made it known that after this brief reunion, the Ibiza of the King of Spain will follow its path to the brand's collection, comprising more than 250 classics.
