New Peugeot 208 on video. We tested ALL versions, which is the best?

One of the releases of the year? No doubt. The new Peugeot 208 it has impressed wherever it goes and I'm sure some of you have already come across the new Gallic proposal — the international presentation took place here, in Portugal.

New is not an idle word on the new 208. The CMP platform is new — debuted by the DS 3 Crossback — and is ready to receive not only internal combustion engines, but an all-electric option as well. The interior is more spacious, has more quality and is probably the one with the most visual impact on the segment.

The exterior is not far behind, with Peugeot “carrying” the design with strong graphics — luminous signature front and rear, and highlighted XL grille — and a robust-looking bodywork.

During the presentation, Guilherme had the opportunity to test all engines and equipment levels. There are four engines, three petrol and one Diesel, and five levels of equipment — Like, Active, Allure, GT Line, GT.

The gasoline engines are all derived from the 1.2 PureTech, the three-cylinder block of the PSA group, starting at 75 hp for the atmospheric version (no turbo), moving up to 100 hp and culminating in 130 hp for the two turbo variants. The only Diesel proposal is in charge of the 1.5 BlueHDI with 100 hp.
