Audi Q5: Is this the second generation SUV?

Anonim

Remco Meulendijk was inspired by the “big guy” of the Audi family and created a concept for the second generation of the Audi Q5.

The similarities to the Audi Q7 are quite striking: LED Matrix lights, hexagonal radiator grille and bumpers with a sportier feel.

Based on the MLB EVO architecture, the platform used to build the A4 and Q7 models, the Audi Q5 will be bigger but 100kg lighter than its predecessor. The Virtual Cockpit is one of the hottest and most anticipated new additions to the SUV.

In terms of engine, it should follow the line we found in the A4 model, which leads us to a wide choice between gasoline and diesel engines, starting with 1.4 TFSI and 2.0 TDI engines and ending with 3.0 V6 TFSI and TDI. The sportier version 'S' of the Audi Q5 will also be one of the strengths of the German brand.

Still no release date, the second generation Audi Q5 is expected to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show which will take place in early 2016.
