On February 20, the Teatro Municipal da Guarda hosts the 18th SPAL Gala, in a ceremony that rewards the best motorsport drivers in the region.
The big news for this year's edition is the change in the name of the award given to the most voted driver of the night, and is now called the Scutvias Driver of the Year Trophy, in a partnership that aims to expand the value and importance of the largest party in the automotive sector in the region .Almost two dozen riders from the region of Guarda who participated in official competitions in seven categories of motor sport in 2015 will be honored. The Prestígio João Lopes Trophy and the Manuel Gião Trophy will also be awarded, which reward individuals, companies or representative bodies in the activities of the Clube Escape Livre and in the development of the Guarda region.

The gala on February 20th also marks the 30th anniversary of Clube Escape Livre, so it will feature several commemorative moments. For President Luís Celínio "the success of the model found for holding the gala was proven in the previous year, so the bet is once again on a large party open to the entire community".
