The 2016 Car of the Year Jury met in Montargil for the final votes of the edition of the most prestigious award awarded to a car in Portugal.
After three months of road tests, it was in the Alentejo landscapes, more precisely in the Montargil Dam, that the last tests were carried out for the seven finalists of the 2016 Car of the Year award.The seven finalists – Audi A4, Honda HR-V, Hyundai i40SW, Mazda CX3, Nissan Pulsar, Opel Astra and Skoda Superb – were again available for the Jury to clear up the last doubts and evaluate the proposals in the competition.
In this final voting session for the Essilor Car of the Year/Crystal Wheel Trophy , the Jury, composed of 19 journalists representing some of the most important Portuguese media, also had the opportunity to vote in the different classes of Car of the Year, as well as in the winner of the Innovation and Technology award.

The announcement of the winners is scheduled for tomorrow , during the traditional party of the Essilor Carro do Ano/Troféu Volante de Cristal 2016.
