TOP 5: Porsche technologies that have reached production models

There is no doubt that competition is in Porsche's DNA. These are some of the technologies born in racing but which today equip the production models of the «Stuttgart house».

As with many other brands, a large part of the technologies that today equip Porsche production cars were debuted in competition models, long before common mortals could use them on the road.

For this reason, Porsche asked the «rally giant» Walter Röhrl for help and gathered those that are, in the brand's opinion, the most important technologies brought from the tracks directly to the road:

In descending order, the choices were: materials composed of reinforced carbon polymers (#5), driving modes integrated in the steering wheel (#4), ceramic brake discs (#3), supercharging through a turbocharger ( #2) and finally the hybrid engines with two energy recovery systems (#1).
