ManHart BMW M135i MH1: 405hp on a trip to the gym

Another preparation by ManHart that promises to leave many BMW fans with their jaws dropped.

The BMW M135i is already an ex-factory car with very interesting features, but as you know, for the German preparer ManHart it is always possible to perfect the “work”. Meet Manhart's proposal for the BMW M135i, a model they dubbed the “black bullet”.

The evolution of this M135i to MH1 400 – model name after transformation – is not just based on the absolute need to increase the power of the N55B30 block at all costs. Manhart has already inhabited us a little more than that. Much more than that until…

Starting from the outside, the M135i boasts a wealth of carbon fiber “treats” such as the front spoiler, the lower rear diffuser and the mirror caps. The finishing touch is provided by a matt black polished aluminum finish vinyl cover.

The wheels of this M135i MH1 are produced by ManHart and are 19 inches long. A “shoe” size ornament is the sticky Michelin Super Sport tire measuring 225/35ZR19 on the front axle and 255/30ZR19 on the rear axle.

But let's get to what really matters. Not wanting to spoil the magnificent balance of the M135i's chassis, ManHart opted to equip the M135i MH1 with a kit of KW ClubSport coilovers. And because ManHart knows that those looking for this model like to challenge lateral accelerations, it equipped the model with a Quaife differential, so that they don't lose a drop of power.

But let's get to the heart of the M135i MH1. For this is where the real magic happens: in the N55B30 block. An engine that has been subject to minor adjustments, without internal or very deep changes. Even because with a power of 320 horsepower and 450Nm of maximum torque, the base of work is already very good.

ManHart now has two power kits available. Stage 1, which gives us 390 horsepower and 530Nm of maximum torque, thanks to the addition of a power box. And Stage 2, where the power rises to 405 horsepower and 560Nm of maximum torque. The addition of a complete exhaust system, with a sport catalytic converter made up of 200 cells, is not unconnected with power.

Given the power obtained, it has become imperative that the M135i MH1 manages to lose speed as easily as it gains it. For this, ManHart offers a braking kit, consisting of 380mm discs, with 8-piston jaws at the front and 4 pistons at the rear.

Inside, the transformation involved the inclusion of leather coverings, in contrast to the carbon applications. A proposal that admittedly rivals the latest spiced versions of the Mercedes A45 AMG.
