Paris Motor Show: BMW M135i xDrive 2013

BMW has brought to the Paris Motor Show the two new elements of the 1 Series group, the BMW 120d xDrive and the BMW M135i xDrive! And if they have “xDrive” they have… four-wheel drive.

Not wanting to take sides, I'm going to have to turn to the M135i xDrive, which as you've probably guessed is one of Division M's high-end models for this series. This one comes with a super attractive engine, a 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder turbo ready to produce something like 320 hp at 5800 rpm. Wow!!

To keep this block company, BMW has added an eight-speed automatic transmission, which will result in a performance that will make the devil cry: the sprint from 0-100 km/h is done in just 4.7 seconds ( - 0.2 sec than the rear-wheel drive version). As is already customary in BMW, this model will also come with the maximum speed electronically limited to 250 km/h, and the fuel consumptions are not at all disappointing, on average, the M135i xDrive drinks 7.8 l/100 km.

Very briefly, the 120d xDrive is powered by a four-cylinder diesel capable of generating 181 hp of power and is prepared to deliver acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. Its fuel consumption is much more tempting for our wallets, on average it travels at 4.7 l/100 km.
