Forget your bank password, shred your credit cards, ask for a declaration of disability from the court and above all(!) don't go near a Honda dealer. The new Honda Civic Type R will go on sale in Portugal from 39,400 euros.
It's not a bargain – it's not… – but offering 310hp, courtesy of the new 2.0 VTEC Turbo engine, capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 5.7 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 270km/h, the new Honda Civic Type R is undoubtedly a temptation.
To protect the investment (or daydream…) Honda equipped the Type R with a braking system in charge of a specific set developed by Brembo for this model. Also highlighted are the adaptive shock absorbers and Type R specific adjustments of the Macpherson's double-arm front suspension and rear torsion bar. All so that events unfold within the limits of the white lines.

Then there's all that Japanese look that always works well in a shameless car. Yes I am powerful; yes I consume a lot; yes… I was thought to break the Highway Code, from Monday to Sunday, there is gas. That's why Honda calls the new Honda Civic Type R the “race car for the road”. This four-wheel taunt will be proposed in five distinct colors: Championship White, Crystal Black (pearl), Polished Metal (metallic), Sporty Blue (metallic) and Milano Red.
The only option – in addition to the aforementioned colors – will be the new GT Pack, available for an additional €2500 (for a total of €41,900), which adds more Type R signature applications on the bodywork, front and rear parking sensors, light and rain sensors and electric folding exterior mirrors. Standard are all those systems that try to make this proposal a more civilized model: Collision Ahead Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Signaling Recognition System, Maximum Support System, Blind Spot Information and Traffic Monitor Side.
