Through his paintings, Alex Wakefield transports us directly to the world of racing, in a tangle of colors, speed and excitement. The inauguration, which will count with the presence of the artist himself, comprises more than ten pieces, which make the connection between the art collection that the Museu do Caramulo exhibits and its automobile collection.
The “Speed Lines” exhibition will show not only Alex Wakefield's artistic side but also his “freedom” in terms of the interpretation of points of view. Many of the angles designed by Wakefield in his paintings would never be photographed or physically visualized, so they are a pure exercise in imagination.
The “Speed Lines” exhibition marks the American artist's absolute debut: for the first time, the American artist will exhibit his work, not only in Portugal, but worldwide. The exhibition starts next Saturday (March 19) at 17:00.
