More associated with city and family cars, Kia intends to change its image a little. For that, it is preparing a new sports model inspired by the GT and GT4 Stinger prototypes that will be launched before 2020.

Confirmed by Paul Philpott, CEO and President of Kia Motors, the new Kia sports car will arrive before the end of the decade, and should be more affordable compared to competing models. As for technical specifications, there are still no values, however it is known that the platform will be common to other models from Kia and the parent brand, Hyundai.

The inspiration for this model will be the Kia GT 4 Stinger prototype (in the highlighted image). Prototype equipped with a 2.0 turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine with 315 hp. The news does not end there. For 2017, Philpott has also confirmed a new B-segment crossover, a direct competitor to the Nissan Juke, Opel Mokka, Renault Captur or even the new Fiat 500X.
