BMW M235i is the fastest road legal BMW on the Nürburgring

Unveiled at last year's Geneva Motor Show, the ACL2 is perhaps the most hardcore project by tuner AC Schnitzer, one of the tuning houses with more experience in BMW models.

Based on the BMW M235i, the sports car now debits 570 horsepower extracted from a highly modified version of the 3.0 liter straight-six engine – specific turbos, larger intercooler and an electronic reprogramming, among other small changes.

To deal with the increased specifications, AC Schnitzer also added an aerodynamic kit (air diffusers, side skirts, rear spoiler), ceramic brakes, specific suspensions and a handcrafted exhaust system.

According to AC Schnitzer, this BMW M235i is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 330km/h. But the ACL2 isn't just for stepping forward and getting noticed.

This green demon went to “Green Hell” to prove its effectiveness. The time achieved at the Nürburgring was surprising: 7:25.8 minutes , faster than, for example, the BMW M4 GTS or the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

This performance makes the ACL2 the fastest legal road BMW ever on the German circuit. No, it's not a production model at all, but it's still impressive. Stay with the onboard video:
