A week after its official debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the new Peugeot prototype has shown off in all its splendor here in Geneva.

The Peugeot 3008 may have won the 2017 International Car of the Year award, but it was certainly not the only reason for interest at the Peugeot stand at the Geneva Motor Show.

The French brand brought its latest prototype to Geneva, the Peugeot Instinct Concept . More than anticipating a possible production van, shooting brake style, this is an exercise in futuristic design that gives us some clues about how autonomous driving technologies can be implemented in future Peugeot models.

Anticipating a future in which there will be no human intervention in driving, the Instinct Concept was made with luxury and comfort on board in mind. Inside, Peugeot's i-Cockpit system is present through a 9.7-inch screen.

Depending on the driving mode – Drive or Autonomous – the steering wheel can be retracted to the dashboard, and the position of the seats is automatically configured for a more relaxed ride.

On the outside, in addition to the rather muscular shapes that attracted journalists to the Peugeot stand, the main highlight is the luminous signature with LED lights (front and rear), side cameras in place of rear-view mirrors and “suicide doors”.

The Peugeot Instinct Concept uses a hybrid engine, the details of which are currently unknown, but which according to the brand delivers a total of 300 hp of power.
