In just six days, Raul Escolano proved that it is already possible to buy a vehicle through social networks.

The sale of cars is no longer what it used to be, as Raul Escolano says. The 38-year-old Spaniard, better known as @escolano on Twitter, decided to buy a vehicle in an original way. Tired of the old ritual of excursions to various dealerships, Escolano launched the challenge to several brands through the hashtag #compraruncocheportwitter.

It was with some surprise that Raul Escolano began to receive proposals from the brands, and undecided on which model he should choose, the Spaniard launched a survey on the social network. With 43% of the votes, the Nissan X-Trail ended up winning, at the expense of models such as the Volkswagen Touran and Toyota Verso. The sale was made by the Galician dealer Antamotor, which used the Periscope streaming platform to make known all the key points of the Japanese SUV, in a personalized and remote visit.
