2016 was the most fruitful year in Porsche's history, with a sales growth of 6%.

Last year alone, Porsche delivered more than 237,000 models, an increase of 6% compared to 2015, and corresponding to a revenue of 22.3 billion euros. Profits also grew by around 4%, totaling 3.9 billion euros. The growing demand for the German brand's SUVs contributed to this result: the Porsche Cayenne and Macan. The latter already represents around 40% of the brand's sales worldwide.

NOT TO BE MISSED: Porsche's next years will be like this

In this record year, nothing changes in the policy of the German company. As has been happening in recent years, part of the profits will be distributed among employees. As a reward for the excellent performance in 2016, each of Porsche's approximately 21,000 employees will receive €9,111 – €8,411 plus the €700 that will be transferred to Porsche VarioRente, the pension fund of the German brand.

“For Porsche, 2016 was a very busy year, full of emotion and, above all, a very successful year. This was possible thanks to our employees, who allowed us to expand our range of models”.

Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG
