The e-SEGURNET application is now online. For now, it's only available on the Android operating system, but it will soon come to iOS and Windows 10.
As we had reported at the beginning of November, the Associação Portuguesa de Insurers (APS) has just launched an app that will replace the Friendly Declaration on paper.
The app was launched today and is called e-SEGURNET.
What is ite-SEGURNET is a free application, provided by Portuguese Association of Insurers (APS) together with associated insurers, which allows you to fill in an automobile accident report in real time and send it instantly to each intervening insurer.
How it worksThis app is an alternative to the traditional friendly paper declaration (which will continue to exist), presenting several advantages over this one. In particular, the pre-registration of data on drivers and their vehicles, preventing errors in filling in the accident site and reducing the length of this procedure.
Another advantage is the possibility of the mobile phone sharing the geolocation of the accident with the app and sending a photographic and multimedia record of what happened.
In short, the great final advantage is the speed in communicating the claim to the insurers, since the information is automatically transmitted, avoiding travel and paper deliveries. If you have a device with an Android operating system, click here to download e-SEGURNET.
More APS NewsSpeaking to the press, Galamba de Oliveira, president of APS said that “e-SEGURNET, in addition to being the most complete of its kind in Europe, is an indispensable tool for Portuguese motorists, as in the event of an accident they will be able to report a claim, even in terms of amicable declaration, with less bureaucracy, in a faster and more practical way”.
According to the official, e-SEGURNET is just one of the several novelties that APS is preparing as part of its strategy to promote the digitization of the insurance sector.
