The Citroën Berlingo celebrates its 20th anniversary with a total of 415,000 units produced in Portugal.

The Citroën Berlingo, a van that leaves the production lines at the Mangualde Production Center – a factory that has been in operation for over 50 years – celebrates its 20th anniversary and represents 34.4% of the total production of the PSA Peugeot Citroën group factory . In 20 years, 61,158 Citroën Berlingo units were sold in Portugal, which represents a total of 26% of vans sold in our country since 1996 (233,149 units).

Citroën leads the national Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) market in eight of the 20 years it has been on the market (in the three-year period from 2002 to 2004 and from 2009 to 2011, as well as in the 2013/2014 period; in the remaining 12 years, the model it has always reached 2nd place in its segment and has never been downloaded from this place). In 2015, the Citroën Berlingo represented 26.2% shares in its segment.

The latest generation of the Citroën Berlingo – launched in June last year – was presented with four HDi diesel engines, an all-electric version and two silhouettes that split between L1 (useful volume from 3.3 to 3.7m3) and L2 ( from 3.7 to 4.1m3).
