Based entirely on the iV-4 prototype presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new Suzuki Vitara is now in its final version at the Paris Motor Show.
Suzuki brought to the Paris Motor Show a weighty novelty. The Suzuki Vitara, one of its most prestigious models internationally, receives a new platform with arguments to face the competition and with a more youthful air, breaking with the tired air of the last generation.

With dimensions that place it at a level where proposals such as the Nissan Qashqai already reign, the Suzuki Vitara has a difficult task ahead, as it faces within the brand its brother SX4 S-Cross, with which it shares a large part of the mechanical components.
The new Suzuki Vitara is a car 4.17m long, 1.77m wide and 1.61m high, only slightly shorter and taller than its fellow in the range, the S-Cross.
The driving proposals of the Suzuki Vitara are the same as those proposed for the S-Cross, in other words, we have 2 1.6l blocks with 120 horsepower. In the case of the 1.6 petrol, the maximum torque is 156Nm and the 1.6 Diesel from Fiat, has 320Nm.
The petrol block is served with a 5-speed manual gearbox, with an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox, the Diesel version is coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Both blocks will be offered with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and in the case of models with all-wheel drive, the 4×4 ALLGRIP system uses the Haldex distribution system, with a multi-disc clutch. The 4×4 ALLGRIP system has 4 modes: Auto, Sport, Snow and Lock, and in Auto and Sport mode, the system only distributes power to the rear wheels when needed. In Snow mode the traction control intervenes to measure the power transmitted to the wheels and in Lock mode, the Suzuki Vitara drives with permanent all-wheel drive.
The suitcase has a capacity of 375l, putting it on a par with proposals like the Peugeot 2008 and the Renault Captur, but with a lower value than the competitor Skoda Yeti.
Suzuki is strongly committed to making the Suzuki Vitara a young and irreverent product again, focusing on exterior customization, with an offer of 15 different colors that can even be combined with 2-tone paint schemes.
It should be noted that the new Suzuki Vitara has a complete equipment that, through the various versions, ranging from GL to GLX-EL, can include a city braking assistance system, 7 airbags, adaptive cruise control, panoramic roof and USB multimedia connection.
