The auction entitled “The Art of the Automobile” was the scene of a million-dollar auction of a Ferrari 250 LM.

As we had already published, RM Auctions and Sotheby's organized on the 21st, the auction of several historic cars. One of the vehicles that deserved the most was the Ferrari 250 LM from 1964, which ended up being sold for €10,600,000.

The Ferrari 250 LM debuted in prototype form in 1963 at the Paris Motor Show. 32 copies were built, this being the 24th produced. This copy has all its history of buying/selling and competition particularly well documented, something that in the collector's world is very appreciated.

The Ferrari 250 LM is considered by some automotive historians to be one of the finest mid-engined sports cars ever built. Its V12 engine of 3.3L with 6 carburetors Weber 38 DCN, produces the typical symphony of the engines of the house of Maranello of that time.

Despite the value being around 3.5 times less than the Ferrari 250 GTO auctioned in October, €10.6 million euros is still an exorbitant value, but after all we are talking about Ferraris that are and made history!
