BMWs from the interior of the country once again went off the road in yet another Matos and Prata – Event X. The event's success promises to continue in 2019, a special year for the concession.
This is now the third edition of a meeting – extended to two days for the first time – which aims to strengthen ties between customers and the dealer, which next year will complete half a century of existence, allowing the presentation and enjoyment of all the capabilities of the models SUV BMW, from X1 to X6. And none of these, including the new BMW X2, missed the call.

On Saturday, a day that was expected to be mild and turned out to be almost a summer day, the city from Albicastrense hosted the event. At the Matos e Prata dealership, in the Industrial Zone, after a breakfast and a brief briefing meeting in which the manager José Prata welcomed them, the caravan was ready for a day of exploring.
The first part of the route linked Castelo Branco to Monforte da Beira, and followed trails marked by forest and rural areas, until reaching the chapel of Santo António, visited by the delegation of the German brand. Afterwards, we continued to the Hotel Fonte Santa, in Termas de Monfortinho, where lunch was held.

The Escape Livre Club was the first entity to organize an all-terrain event exclusively for premium brand SUV models. The first event dedicated to the Bavarian brand's models with Xdrive technology took place in 2005.
The second stage revealed interesting trails and firebreaks to Penha Garcia. There, the participants dropped their steering wheels and walked the trail to reach the Ichnological Park of Penha Garcia and observe the locally called “painted snakes”. The night was marked by a medieval dinner, in a tent, with formal costumes and utensils, with entertainment and fire arts.

Sunday's program continued the previous day's strategy of taking advantage of dirt tracks and BMW technologies to reach other historic sights.
The Historical Village of Idanha-a-Velha deserved a guided tour by the caravan, again by technicians from the municipality of Idanha, who then left for the Raiano Museum, in Idanha-a-Nova, getting to know the local ethnography and history. The closing lunch and the delivery of SPAL trophies ended another edition of this event dedicated to models of the German brand with XDrive technology, and organized by Clube Escape Livre.
