Lykan Hypersport: the first Arab supercar costs 2.5 million euros

Anonim

The Lykan Hypersport is the first Arab supercar. It costs 2.5 million euros and has LED lights set in diamonds.

It's not something that surprises the average Westerner, who, like me, are intrigued by the Arabs' mad passion for supercars. It's not a mere luxury, it's a whole delivery, a way of living. In the old continent, there are those who say that it is disturbing, due to the way in which their opulence invades their privacy – not long ago we shared here a documentary that reflects this reality well. Now the millionaires in the land of petrodollars have done what was expected – after buying all the supercars in the world here comes the idea of building their own supercar.

This week, W Motors presented its supercar at the third edition of the Qatar Motor Show – the Lykan Hypersport, is the first Arab supercar. The appearance was huge and curiosity invaded the editorial offices of automobile publications around the world. Only 7 units of this supercar from the Arabians will be produced and W Motors guarantees that they are practically sold out, given the hundreds of orders they have received. This is the most expensive car in the world, title stolen from the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport (1.8 million euros).

The exclusivity goes beyond the only 7 units available and, of course, the price. This Lykan Hypersport is the first car in the world to receive LED lights encrusted in diamonds, in addition to having details such as: leather seats embossed with gold thread or even an interactive three-dimensional holographic instrument panel. The happy owner of this dream car will have a 24-hour assistance service and a “small treat” to accompany your purchase – a special edition of a Cyrus Klepcy watch worth 150 thousand euros.

For a moment we can think that it's just “fire in sight” and that under the bonnet there isn't an engine worthy of the requested price. Well, not really. It may not be the fastest car in the world, but this Lykan Hypersport sprints from 0 to 100 in 2.8 seconds and the advertised top speed is 395 km/h. The engine is a 'flat-six' twin turbo, probably from a Porsche, it produces 750 hp and nothing less than 1000 nm of maximum torque.

Ralph Debbas is the chairman, CEO of W Motors and responsible for the birth of this unique hypercar. He has already worked for Aston Martin and he was the one who coordinated the birth of the Land Rover LRS Concept, the prototype that gave rise to the Range Rover Evoque. W Motors is based in Lebanon and this Lykan Hypersport promises to make its owners and fans mouth water. I confess, I can't wait to see this hypercar in action. Drop by our Facebook page or leave a comment about this hypercar here.
