Mercedes-Benz ELK: the brand's first electric sports car?

Italian designer Antonio Paglia gave free rein to his imagination and conceived the Mercedes-Benz ELK.

Mercedes-Benz is developing a common platform for four new 100% electric vehicles, dubbed EVA. Based on this assumption, designer Antonio Paglia designed two distinct versions of a new German electric sports car, hoping to convince the German brand to move towards a production model: a road version and a competition variant.

The Mercedes-Benz ELK stands out for its futuristic lines, LED lights and carbon fiber front grille. The competition version also features high-performance ground connections, side air intakes, front spoiler and diffuser and rear wing.

With the BMW i8 already on the market and with the arrival of other brands on the scene – from Porsche with the Mission E to Faraday Future with the FFZERO1 Concept – it remains to be seen whether the Stuttgart brand will opt for a similar path.
