Roewe Marvel X. The Chinese Electric Car With Comic Book Name

Anonim

At a time when the future seems to be about electric, Chinese builders do not want to be left behind. Roewe, a Chinese brand born from the wreckage of British manufacturer MG Rover, has just unveiled the production version of the Roewe Vision-E Concept, called Roewe Marvel X.

Presented, still as a prototype, at the last Shanghai Motor Show, the Marvel X is, according to Car News China, the zero-emission version of the future Roewe RX7 SUV.

Roewe Marvel X smaller than a Model X

Still on the model now unveiled online, the featherweight it advertises should be highlighted: just 1.759 kg for a set whose dimensions end up not differing much, for example, from a Porsche Macan. Namely with 4,678 mm in length, 1,919 mm in width and 1,161 mm in height, in addition to a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.

With an official presentation scheduled for the next Beijing Motor Show in 2018, the Roewe Marvel X has two electric motors, one at the front, ensuring a power of 116 hp, and the other at the back, adding another 70 hp. A set that, although the manufacturer does not reveal anything about the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, must guarantee the model a maximum speed of 180 km/h.

However, other aspects remain, such as autonomy, charging time or battery options. Something that, even so, should interest the Chinese more… is that this tram with a comic name will only be on sale in China.
