“Those who can withstand the 50ºC of the Californian desert can withstand everything”. That's more or less what Bugatti wanted to prove with this adventure across the US.

With an acceleration from 0-100km/h in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed limited to 420km/h, the Bugatti Chiron is the fastest production car on the planet – and perhaps for that reason one of the most complex.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the French brand insists on submitting it to an intensive testing program, to ensure that the Veyron's successor withstands the most extreme conditions, in this case on a route that passed through Death Valley, in the west of the USA.

NOT TO BE MISSED: What is the Bugatti Chiron's maximum speed without limiter?

The name is no coincidence. Those passing through “Death Valley” often face temperatures above 50 °C, and that was precisely where the Bugatti engineers went this summer, behind the wheel of four Bugatti Chirons.

It took about 35,000 kilometers in four and a half weeks to test the endurance of the 8.0 liter W16 quad-turbo engine with 1500hp and 1600Nm, summarized here in just two minutes:
