Donald Trump doesn't take office until January of next year, but until then, important decisions have to be taken. One of them is precisely to choose which will be the presidential vehicle of the new US president. Knowing Donald Trump's competitive streak (and his collection of luxury cars as well), we suspect the new president will want a car to match his predecessor, but anyone who knows “The Beast” will know that the task doesn't look easy.
These are some of the models that could serve as inspiration for the new US presidential car:
Lincoln Continental
Starting with a more “classic” proposal, we have the new Lincoln Continental, unveiled at the last Detroit Motor Show. Although it is an openly American model, in this tenth generation the brand bet on elegance and driving pleasure, something that will not be worth much to Trump since the president of the USA is prevented from getting behind the wheel. Still, this appears to be a tailored model for the job's responsibilities.
Ford F-150 Raptor
“A pick-up?” you ask. Yes, a pick-up truck. If the goal is safety and strength, nothing better than the new Ford F-150 Raptor. In this new generation the blue oval brand pulled the 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine to 455 hp, and therefore power won't be lacking either. And if we take into account the popularity of pickup trucks in the main states where Trump was victorious, the F-150 Raptor isn't all that far-fetched.

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

Is there a more American car than this one? Difficultly. As we had the opportunity to prove in the Alentejo plains, everything about the Ford Mustang exudes Uncle Sam, from the “awakening” of the powerful V8 engine with 421hp and 530Nm of torque to the design and interiors. Imagine him painted black and wearing the White House badge and voila… here's the new US presidential car.
