Confirmed: Next Honda NSX will have V6 Twin-Turbo Hybrid engine

After so much speculation about the possible engine of the next Honda NSX, the Japanese manufacturer is now confirming that the next generation of the “mythical” Honda NSX will have a V6 Twin-Turbo engine with hybrid technology, instead of the so-called V6 engine AT.

This new engine, officially confirmed by Honda at an automobile event, will basically consist of a V6 Twin-Turbo block coupled to three small electric motors. Two of the three electric motors will be placed one on each front wheel, while the third electric motor will be integrated into the combustion engine, helping to transfer power to the rear wheels.

The V6 Twin-Turbo engine will be mounted longitudinally in a central position and will be accompanied by a dual-clutch gearbox (DCT), in principle with more than 6 speeds.

The long-awaited “successor” of the Honda NSX will arrive in mid-2015 with the aim of “rivaling” with some of the best sports cars today, but above all, with an attempt to bring back the “spirit” of what was and still it's a real “samurai” on the asphalt!
